Sola Salons

Sola Salons Malvern rents individual salon suites to independent professionals rather than employing stylists directly. Renters run their own businesses, set their own schedules within the building's access hours, and keep the profits from any retail products they choose to sell.

Each suite comes with full-spectrum lighting, a shampoo bowl, a styling chair, a bathroom, and access to a spacious breakroom. Janitorial services are included, and the building has 24/7 security and on-site laundry. Each suite has its own glass door with an individual lock and key, and renters can decorate the space with their own artwork, music, furniture and decor.

Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi. The company offers start-up support, including a manual with forms and tips for obtaining a salon license and other licenses and permits. Renters also have access to liability insurance, disability insurance in certain areas, retail discounts, offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and industry events.

Sitting near Route 28, Lancaster Avenue and Route 202, the location is also under a mile from Great Valley Corporate Park. The business organizes community events for its renters, including cocktail parties and family picnics. According to the company, it has more than 20,000 independent business owners spread across over 750 locations nationwide, and every location is independently owned and operated.

Sola Salons is built around giving independent professionals their own space, with the business side of running a suite handled through shared utilities, support and renter resources.

Each suite is a private room that renters can personalize with their own décor, art and music.
