This location is one of the Sola Salon Studios franchises, and each one is independently owned and operated. Rather than working as a salon with staff, it rents out individual suites to self-employed professionals who run their own businesses.
Each suite has its own glass door with an individual lock and key. Suites come with full-spectrum lighting, a shampoo bowl and a styling chair, and the renter can decorate and furnish the space to suit their work. Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi.
Renters set their own service and product prices, keep all profits, and choose which brands and products they sell. The property also has free surface parking for suite occupants and their guests, 24/7 security, and a patio with a view of downtown Houston. Suite access hours vary by location.
Drivers reach both I-10 and I-45 in about four minutes. The location is adjacent to B&B Butchers and directly opposite BB Lemon. The surrounding district includes art studios, galleries, eateries, craft breweries and public artworks. According to the company, its broader network counts more than 20,000 independent business owners.
