Sola Salons rents private salon studios to beauty professionals rather than providing services itself. The company describes itself as the largest, fastest-growing salon studio business and says it has worked with salon professionals for more than 20 years. Each suite comes with a styling chair and a shampoo bowl, along with utilities, full-spectrum lighting, sound-insulated walls, ventilation and instant hot water. Each suite has a glass door with its own lock and key, and tenants have exclusive use of the supplies and equipment kept inside. Suites are accessible 24/7, though access hours vary by location.
Tenants pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi. Shared spaces include on-site laundry, a breakroom, bathroom facilities and janitorial service. Tenants set their own service and product prices, keep all their profits, and may sell products of their choice.
Tenants run their own businesses from a private suite, setting their own prices and choosing which products to sell.
