Sola Salons offers independent beauty and barbering professionals a place to run their own business without building one from scratch. Rather than providing services itself, the company leases fully furnished, move-in-ready suites to tenants who work for themselves. The Coral Gables location sits at the Shops at Merrick Park and serves a number of nearby neighborhoods, including Little Havana, South Miami and Westchester.

Each suite has a private glass door with its own lock and key, and access is available around the clock, though hours vary by location. Furnishings and equipment include a styling chair, a shampoo bowl and full-spectrum lighting. Janitorial service, on-site laundry, ventilation, bathroom facilities, a breakroom and instant hot water are also part of the setup.

Tenants pay one weekly fee that includes all utilities and Wi-Fi, with no additional charges. Tenants set their own service and product prices, choose the brands they carry, and keep all of their profits. The company describes its Coral Gables suites as top rated and reports more than 750 locations across the U.S. and Canada. Each location is independently owned and operated by a franchise owner.
