The renters who use the building are a wide mix of independent trades: barbers, brow technicians, estheticians, hair extension specialists, hairstylists, health and wellness practitioners, laser hair removal providers, lash technicians, makeup artists, massage therapists, medical spa operators, nail technicians, permanent makeup artists, tattoo artists and waxers.
Each suite has a glass door with its own lock and key, and tenants have 24/7 access, though hours vary by location. Tenants set their own schedules and can personalize the space with their own decor, furniture and artwork.
Tenants pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. They set their own service and product prices, choose the brands they sell, and keep all of their profits. The company says the cost of a suite is similar to renting a chair or booth.
Shared amenities include full-spectrum lighting, a styling chair, a spacious breakroom, on-site laundry and sound-insulated walls. The company describes a community of more than 20,000 independent business owners across its locations. Each Sola Salon Studios franchise is independently owned and operated.
