Sola Salons SouthPark is a suite building rather than a single salon. Each location is independently owned and operated, and each professional or business in it is independently owned and operated too, so people working there run their own businesses.
Suites come in a range of sizes and are furnished and ready to move into. Each one has cabinets, shampoo bowls and styling chairs, along with full-spectrum lighting, a breakroom, on-site laundry and sound-insulated walls. Each suite has an individual lock and key on its glass door.
Tenants set their own service and product prices and keep all of the profits. They choose the brands and products they sell, can decorate their suite, and set their own schedule. Access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, though hours vary by location.
One weekly fee covers rent, all utilities and Wi-Fi, so tenants have a single predictable cost. The business says it has a community of more than 20,000 independent business owners.
Sola Salons offers a space for independent professionals to run their own businesses, with tenants controlling their pricing, product choices and schedules.
