Suites come in a range of sizes and include oversized glass doors, cabinets, shampoo bowls and styling chairs. Each has its own Sola glass door with an individual lock and key, and suite access runs 24 hours a day, with hours varying by location. Shared amenities include full-spectrum lighting, sound insulated walls, a spacious breakroom and on-site laundry.
Tenants pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. They set their own service and product prices, choose the brands they carry, and keep all of their profits, including product sales. The business says a suite costs about the same as renting a chair or booth in a traditional salon, and it describes a community of more than 20,000 independent business owners.
