Sola Salons Mountain View

Sola Salons rents furnished private suites and studios to independent professionals who run their own businesses. The company says it has more than 20,000 independent business owners in its community. Each Sola Salon Studios location is independently owned and operated, and Sola is not responsible for the operations, employment or personnel matters of franchise owners or the independent professionals who rent from them.

Suites are offered to hairstylists, estheticians, lash techs, barbers, nail techs, permanent makeup artists, massage therapists and other independent professionals. The mix varies by site: some locations rent medical, wellness, salon and spa suites together, while others focus on salon and spa space or on beauty and wellness work.

The Castro Valley location has fully furnished, move-in-ready studios with full-spectrum lighting, 24/7 security and utilities included. Some suites include a shampoo bowl and a styling chair. Each suite has a private glass door with its own lock and key. Access hours vary by location.

Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi, with no surprise charges. Renters can sell retail products of their choice and keep all of the profits. Renters also have access to liability insurance and, in certain areas, disability insurance, along with retail discounts, special offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and industry events.

New renters receive start-up support that includes a start-up manual, checklists, licensing and permit guidance, studio setup details covering insurance, equipment, paint and credit card processing, and contacts for retail and distributors.

Locations are spread across the East Bay, the Peninsula and San Francisco. Pleasanton is inside Pleasanton Square Shopping Center, Danville is just off the I-680 Sycamore Valley exit, and Walnut Creek has one suite site in Palm Court and another at Ygnacio Plaza, which has 48 private salon suites. The San Francisco location is on the second floor of a historic doorman building near Union Square, with access from BART and Muni. Mountain View has 22 private studios in San Antonio Center.

Sola rents independent suites so professionals can run their own practice, with start-up guidance and business resources in place of salon-style staffing.

Studios are fully furnished and ready to move into, and the San Francisco suites sit on the second floor of a historic building.
