Rental types include triple and single studios at the Northeast Minneapolis location. The site says more than 100 independent professionals are based there and that the company as a whole has a community of more than 20,000 independent business owners.

Renters receive a key to their suite and set their own work hours, subject to access hours that vary by location. Each studio has its own lock and key on a glass door, and renters can personalize the room with artwork, music, furniture and decor they choose.

Renters pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. They set their own service and product prices, choose which brands and products they sell, and keep all of the profits. According to the company, the cost of a suite is about the same as renting a chair or booth in a traditional salon.

Each suite comes with exclusive use of the renter's own supplies and equipment.
