Sola Salons

Sola Salons is a suite building in Cordova, Tennessee, where independent beauty and wellness professionals rent their own private salon space. Each suite has a glass door with an individual lock and key, so tenants can run their business behind a door that is theirs to secure.

The suites are rented for one weekly fee that includes all utilities and Wi-Fi. The company says a suite can cost about the same as renting a chair or booth at a traditional salon. Tenants set their own service and product prices, choose the brands they carry and keep all of the profit from both.

Each suite includes a shampoo bowl, a styling chair and full-spectrum lighting, and the building has 24/7 security. The company advertises 24/7 access, though access hours vary by location.

The company says it has partnered with professionals for more than 20 years and that it has more than 20,000 independent business owners in its community. It also reports 21,000-plus independent beauty and wellness professionals across 750-plus locations in the U.S. and Canada. Each Sola Salon Studios franchise is independently owned and operated, and the company states it is not responsible for the operations, employment or personnel matters of franchise owners or the independent professionals working in their suites.

Sola leases private suites so each professional runs an independent business, setting their own prices and choosing their own product lines.
