Sola Salons operates salon suite studios for independent beauty professionals. Each location is independently owned and operated, and the company describes its community as more than 20,000 independent business owners.

The studios rent private suites to professionals who run their own businesses. Each suite is rented for one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi, and comes with cabinets, shampoo bowls and a styling chair. Suites also include full-spectrum lighting, a breakroom, on-site laundry and sound-insulated walls.

Every suite has its own lock and key on a Sola glass door, and tenants get 24/7 access, with hours that vary by location. Tenants can personalize their space with their own artwork, music, furniture and decor.

Renters at the studio decide what they charge for services and retail goods, and they keep the income. They also choose which brands and products they carry, and every sale from those lines stays with them. Professionals working here include nail technicians, waxing specialists, tattoo artists, permanent makeup artists, massage practitioners, health and wellness providers, and people doing lash work, brow work, hair extensions, hair cutting and styling, makeup, skin care, barbering, and laser hair removal.

Sola provides the suite and shared amenities, while each tenant runs an independent business and decides its own prices and product lineup.
