Sola Salons

Sola Salons rents studio suites to independent beauty professionals who are building their own businesses. The company says its aim is to help these professionals advance their careers and eventually run a salon of their own. According to Sola, suite rental gives renters much of what owning a salon offers, while sidestepping a number of the hazards that come with opening a conventional salon.

New renters can use a salon suite start-up manual, which includes forms and tips for getting a salon license and other licenses and permits. Start-up support also covers setting up the studio, including insurance, equipment, paint, credit card processing, retail support and contacts with distributors.

Renters have access to liability insurance and disability insurance, with the disability coverage offered in certain areas only. They also receive retail discounts, special offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and invitations to industry events. Sola hosts community gatherings for renters, such as cocktail parties and family picnics.

Each Sola Salon Studios location is independently owned and operated, and each salon professional and salon business within a Sola location is independently owned and operated as well. Sola states that it is not responsible for the operations, employment and personnel matters of franchise owners or independent salon professionals.

Sola focuses on giving independent beauty professionals the tools and support to run and grow their own salon businesses, from licensing and setup to insurance and continuing education.
