Sola Salons offers private studios rather than a shared floor. At its Daly City location, the 32 studios are leased to independent beauty professionals, and each studio can be rented in a single, large single or double size. Each studio has a glass door with its own lock and key. Every suite comes with utilities, 24/7 security, full-spectrum lighting, a styling chair and a shampoo bowl. Bathrooms, a breakroom and on-site laundry are shared among tenants. Tenants pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. The business says that leasing a suite costs about the same as renting a chair or booth.
