SoJo Spa Club

SoJo Spa Club is a day spa and hotel on River Road in Edgewater. It draws on Korean bath house traditions and brings spa rituals from several cultures together in one building, with Hotel SoJo connected to the spa for guests who want to stay overnight.

Daily Admission covers access to the pools, baths, saunas and bath houses, a private locker, and towels and robes during the visit. The multi-level facility is open all year, with heated outdoor pools and baths. Thermal options include a hydrotherapy pool and a carbon-rich bath, and the saunas include Himalayan salt, far-infrared, charcoal, red clay and ganbanyoku rooms, the last with stone beds. Other spaces include an ice room offering whole-body cryotherapy, a bath house that moves guests through baths of different temperatures, a relaxation lounge, a cowork space and a fitness center, which is not part of Daily Admission.

The treatment menu includes Korean Body Scrubs in 30 or 60 minute sessions in a private room, and acupressure in 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions based on reflexology and shiatsu, either alone or in a group. Massages include a Foot Massage ($60, 30 minutes), a Head-to-Toe Rebalance ($180, 90 minutes, combining shiatsu and a foot massage), an Aromatherapy Massage ($215, 60 minutes), a Maternity Massage ($215, 60 minutes) and a Couples Massage ($430, 60 minutes, in a couples suite). Prices exclude tax and gratuity. Acupressure and Korean Body Scrubs require Daily Admission to be purchased on arrival.

The Volcanic Sand Bath is a communal sand bath on the 6th floor, in an open-air space enclosed for year-round use. It is added to Daily Admission for $20 per session. Same-day sessions are first come, first served between 11:15 am and 6:30 pm, with the last session at 6 pm. Halotherapy, a dry salt therapy meant to recreate a salt cave's microclimate, is offered daily from 11 am to 7 pm. ESPA treatments use different oils and techniques through a partnership with ESPA, and the Scalp Renewal Package pairs a massage with ESPA's Pink Hair & Scalp Mud treatment for $245, 70 minutes. That scalp treatment contains nut-derived ingredients and is not recommended for hair with extensions.

Reservations are strongly recommended, and treatments should be booked with arrival 60 minutes before the appointment time. Guests must be 18 or older for Daily Admission and must show government-issued photo ID. The spa is barefoot, with sandals or flip flops allowed only outdoors, in locker rooms and in bath houses. Complimentary yoga classes run on Saturdays and Sundays at 12 pm and 2 pm for all levels; guests sign up on the app on the day of the visit. Parking is valet at $15 per car or in a complimentary lot a block away at River Road and Archer Street, and ride share drop-off is on Vreeland Terrace.

The spa presents itself as bringing spa traditions from around the world together under one roof, with Korean bath house practices at the center.
