Electrolysis is the practice's core service. A fine sterile probe is placed into each hair follicle and a mild electric current is applied. The salon states that electrolysis is the only FDA-approved permanent method of hair removal and has been in use for more than 135 years. Electrolysis is offered on the face, body and bikini line, and on most other body areas. Electrolysis is priced by time, from a $25 minimum charge up to $115 for a 120-minute session, and clients pay only for actual treatment time. Five-treatment packages save 5 percent and ten-treatment packages save 10 percent. Pre-paid discounts and referral bonuses are also available.
Body waxing uses both hard (stripless) wax and soft (strip) wax, with no upcharge for hard wax. Waxing-only clients pay the listed price for each area, and the practice says there are no upcharges or hidden fees. A long list of bikini patterns is offered for men and women, including the Regular or Standard, Brazilian, Playboy, EC2, Sphinx or Bare All, and Boxer Brief patterns, each with a defined area of coverage. The salon describes its Amber Center waxing system as hygienic and says it carries no risk of cross contamination.
Every new client can book a complimentary consultation by phone, with no obligation. An electrolysis consultation runs about an hour and a waxing consultation about 45 minutes. A consultation reviews contact details and medical history, sets out a treatment plan, includes a sample treatment and a patch test, and ends with aftercare instructions. Clients are asked to bring a valid driver's license or other photo ID and their past medical history. The practice aims to start appointments on time and does not interrupt treatments to answer the phone. Extended sessions are available for clients travelling from Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, personal checks and cash are accepted, and tipping is not expected at the office.

Disposable gloves are used for every waxing service, and disposable barriers are used to disinfect the treatment area before and after each service. Wax is never double-dipped.
