Snobby Natural Collective

Snobby Natural Collective launched at the end of 2022 under licensed hair stylist Anique Nicole. It offers natural haircare services, products and education for women, and works from a salon suite inside the MY Salon Suites building at 150 Arsenal Street in Watertown. There is a free parking garage behind the building as well as street parking, and a bus stop at the front door.

Anique Nicole previously ran her own salon, Anique Nicole Hair Studio, which opened in 2015 and closed in June 2020. The current business centers on natural haircare for clients of all hair textures, with the aim of helping women take pride in their hair.

Every appointment begins with a hair assessment, then a thorough wash and a conditioner treatment tailored to the client. Most sessions run longer than the time block booked, and clients wait in the lobby or their car until their appointment time.

Color services require an in-person consultation before booking, and scheduling after that can take up to a month. Options range from a semi-permanent or rinse color that tints, adds shine and fades over time, to a Color Pop, which is one solid colored section placed anywhere on the head. Single process color can be taken from root to end or retouched as needed, and highlights add dimension to natural color while letting retouches be spaced months apart. Booking opens on the 8th of each month at 8 am, and cancellation openings are announced on the Instagram broadcast channel.

The shop sells Inflúance haircare, including shampoos, conditioners, leave-in conditioners, scalp oils and styling foams, along with the business's own affirmation card decks, T-shirts and gift cards. Waist beads are handmade in Accra, Ghana, on a string that does not stretch. Only domestic shipping is offered.

The business describes its services as personalized and rooted in luxury, with each appointment built around the individual client's hair.

The salon is set up as a place where clients can relax and set aside outside stresses.
