SMP Northwest was started with the goal of providing hair loss solutions in Washington. The studio uses scalp micropigmentation, a non-surgical process in which fine micro-needles deposit pigment into the scalp to create the appearance of hair follicles.
Every plan begins with a free initial consultation, after which the studio gives a quote based on the client's situation. Scalp micropigmentation generally ranges from $2,500 to $4,000. Sessions usually last two to four hours, and full results typically take at least three sessions and up to six, scheduled about one to two weeks apart.
Services include restoring the hairline or adding a fuller look for male pattern baldness, a service for women experiencing hair loss and thinning, and treatment of a single area or the whole scalp to mask the effects of alopecia. Scar blending disguises scars, including FUE and FUT hair transplant scars, so they sit in with the surrounding hair. Clients who wear long hair may be advised to cut it shorter, depending on the pattern and extent of thinning.
Some redness can linger for two to three days following a visit, and wearing a head covering in that window is fine. For the first four to five days, the salon advises against scrubbing, shampooing, shaving, intense sweating and workouts. Once the last treatment is done, guests should steer clear of tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for at least 28 days.
The studio's aim is to help clients achieve a fuller look and feel more at ease with their hair, starting with a free consultation before any quote is given.
