Smooth Studios is a locally owned waxing studio in suite 119 of Phenix Salon Suites in Lake Forest. The studio concentrates on waxing across the face, body, arms, legs, back, underarms, and bikini and intimate areas, with services sized from a small patch up to full arm, full leg, and full back sessions.
Hours run Tuesday through Saturday. Tuesday is 1 PM to 6:30 PM, Wednesday 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Thursday and Friday 10 AM to 6:30 PM, and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM. Monday and Sunday are closed. Cancellations carry a 40% fee, and clients who cannot make an appointment are asked to tell the studio as early as possible so they can reschedule.
The bikini and intimate menu has several options. A standard Bikini Line covers up to 4 inches outside the natural line on the sides and top, Bikini Full goes deeper and leaves out the butt strip, and Brazilian removes hair from the front, sides, and back, including the butt strip, with a strip or triangle in front optional. Brazilian is offered to women only, at $60 or $50 on Wednesdays. The men's version, Manzilian, removes all hair from the front, back, and between, including the butt strip, with a groomed area in front optional. The studio treats Manzilian strictly as hair removal.
On the face, Full Face covers the eyebrows, nose, upper lip, chin, cheeks, and neck. Eyebrow shaping takes a conservative approach, removing stray hairs above, below, and between the brows. More can be taken off at a later visit, but hair cannot be put back, so the studio starts light.
Owner Andrea Hudlett aims for each client to feel comfortable, confident, and cared for, with smooth results.
