Every treatment starts with a consultation, because the studio says results vary with hair type and history. Free patch testing is offered before a service to check for sensitivity to smoothing products. Clients with thick or long hair are asked to mention it when booking so extra time can be planned. Extensions must be removed before the appointment, and smoothing treatments are not done on extensions. Color should be applied right before a smoothing treatment or at least two weeks after it, and any highlights or lightening should be done before the appointment because lightening removes smoothing treatments.
The studio offers a plant-based option, the Customizable Vegan Smoothing Treatment, which it describes as free from harsh chemicals and cruelty-free. It also offers the All New Vegan Treatment, which it says can last up to three months. The studio is open about ingredients: it states that most smoothing treatments contain formaldehyde, usually at a low percentage, and that some ingredients have been identified by certain health organizations as potentially carcinogenic. It notes that smoothing treatments may offer some protection from UV rays and air pollutants but not from heat, so a heat protectant is still recommended. A fume extractor and air purifier are used during smoothing treatments.
Add-ons can be combined with a Brazilian or keratin treatment. These include the K-18 Bond Rebuilder, a leave-in mask that adds about four minutes, and an all-in-one bond rebuilder and deep conditioning treatment. A hair trim can be added after the treatment. Root touch-up color is available for returning clients only and adds an hour. Services that run past the booked time are charged $50 per 30-minute increment. Appointments should be cancelled at least 24 hours ahead, clients who are not fully satisfied should contact the studio within two weeks of service, and retail products can be exchanged within 30 days of purchase. Coupons and online discounts cannot be combined and are limited to one per customer per visit. The studio's own site shows a 5.0 rating from 15 reviews.
