A first visit begins with a discussion of hair and skin type, used to estimate how many sessions a client will need. Many areas are planned around 8 to 10 treatments, and the face, Brazilian and areola areas typically call for about 10 because they are hormonal. Sessions usually run 30 minutes or less. The salon says no numbing cream is needed, and clients may notice warmth and a mild tweezing feeling during treatment.
Clients are asked to shave the area the night before. Between sessions, waxing and tweezing are not recommended; shaving or trimming is advised instead. Sun exposure should be limited for a few days around each treatment. Facial treatments should wait a couple of days after fillers or Botox, and a massage should wait one day after treatment. Clients taking sun-sensitizing medications should stop them 5 to 7 days before, retinol products 4 to 5 days before, and anyone taking Accutane should speak with their doctor before starting laser treatment. Hair may shed over the following weeks and regrow finer.
The salon says treatment areas are cleaned each morning and after each treatment with hospital-grade disinfectant, and that treatments take place in a private, professional setting. Laser hair removal is considered cosmetic and is not covered by insurance. Payment is accepted by cash, check, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal and Zelle.
