Marie founded the studio and works as its owner and master loctician. Visits often begin with the in-person SlayBySlye Consultation Experience, a 10-minute, $25 session for assessment and planning only, with no hair services performed. New clients can choose from three first-time packages that pair a retwist with styling, with extended styling, or with extended styling and hair included, priced at $140, $180 and $200.
Loc maintenance is offered as a palm roll retwist from $85 or as interlocking from $115. The Wednesday Loc Refresh is a 75-minute visit on Wednesdays only, covering a shampoo, palm roll retwist and basic finishing for $100. Wicks, which combine several locs into thick, rope-like sections, start at $250, and the salon states that the style originated in South Florida.
Booking policies are firm. A non-refundable 25% deposit secures appointments and is applied to the remaining balance. Changes need at least 24 hours' notice, and same-day cancellations are charged half the remaining service balance on top of the forfeited deposit. Late arrivals have a 15-minute grace period, after which a $25 late fee may apply. Hours are Tuesday 10 AM to 7 PM, Wednesday 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Thursday and Friday 10 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM, closed Monday and Sunday.
