The business was formerly known as SLATE Beauty Bar. Its founder, Rachel, started it as a personal passion, and it has since grown into a larger beauty business with a range of services.
Facial treatments are customized to each client's needs. Lash extensions are made of synthetic fibers attached one at a time to natural lashes and typically last two to three weeks before they need upkeep. Full body waxing covers brows, lips, chin, underarms, arms, legs, back, chest and Brazilian areas. Other offerings include dermaplaning to remove dead skin and peach fuzz, custom airbrush tanning that uses a sprayed, sunless solution, a deluxe teeth whitening treatment given across three 20-minute sessions, and permanent jewelry that is custom-fitted, welded closed and has no clasp.
