About

Sky Tan runs two locations, one on Middle Country Road in Selden and one on Route 25A in Miller Place. Each has a set of UV tanning beds and a sunless spray booth, and the Selden site also carries a Silver level bed for base building.

The business is organized around memberships. Monthly plans range from a Platinum pass, which gives unlimited use of the Platinum and Diamond UV units, up to an Elite pass that includes unlimited UV tanning, unlimited sunless tanning and unlimited red light sessions. Middle tiers add a set number of sunless sessions. Packages carry the same tier names and prices, and one-month Sapphire Month access is offered for 31 consecutive days of one session per day, with sharing not allowed.

Red light sessions are sold singly or in blocks of 5, 10 or 20. The salon describes them as aimed at overall wellness, including circulation, skin tone and muscle recovery. The salon also describes itself as the number one tanning salon, a claim it makes about itself.

Members can pay in store before the 1st of the month for a cash discount, receive 10% off in-store purchases, and add a spray tan to some memberships for a reduced add-on price. Appointments are booked in 30-minute slots year-round, and the salon asks clients to arrive on time and to cancel at least 10 minutes ahead to avoid no-show fees.

Built around memberships and session tiers, with UV beds, sunless options and red light sessions offered side by side.
