Sky's World Tour

Sky's World Tour began in Missouri as a solo trip by hairstylist Sky Le, who drives a pickup truck and cuts hair along the way. Sky closed a Saint Louis salon to start the journey, and the car carries a mobile wall for collecting signatures. The planned route covers all 50 US states, then South America, Africa, Oceania, Europe and Asia, and finally a crossing of Vietnam from Hanoi to Ca Mau.

The free haircut challenge started on August 15, 2023, and aims to spread love and kindness in the communities the tour passes through. Rather than a fee, each haircut is paid for with a positive message, such as a thank-you, a good wish or another upbeat note, either handwritten or recorded on video. People can register in advance or come directly to a stop on the route. Every message is recorded and shared on the tour's social media alongside a photo of the haircut recipient.

The record attempt covered 40,000 km in 330 days across 15 US cities, with about 70,000 people from 65 nationalities taking part. According to the tour, Guinness World Records recognized the car for most signatures on a car, with 5,151 valid signatures out of 7,000 collected, and the car then received a purchase offer of 1 million USD. The record was completed on July 20, 2024. Between 2020 and 2023 the tour also gave away 250 boxes of face masks valued at 90,000 USD. Fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has a stated goal of 20,000 USD.

Haircuts are offered free, with a message of love given in return, to spread kindness in local communities.

Stops range from major cities to remote rural areas, so each haircut happens somewhere different along the route.
