Skintology Lab

Skintology Lab is a Latina-owned skincare studio at 6508 W Archer Ave, Suite #4, on Chicago's Southwest Side. It was founded by Alex Saucedo, a licensed esthetician, and it describes itself as an acne specialist. The studio says it looks at the cause of a skin concern rather than only its symptoms, and it describes its skincare as results driven.

New clients, anyone not seen in six or more months, and anyone who has never had a professional facial start with the Client Consultation + Customized Facial. The visit runs about 1 hour 30 minutes and covers the consultation, the treatment, and home-care recommendations. The treatment level is discussed and approved before the service begins, based on the skin's condition that day. Level 1 is $135, Level 2 is $145, and Level 3 is $160. That price covers the professional treatment only; recommended home-care products are sold separately.

The virtual option is a 30-minute FaceTime consultation for $50. The session reviews the client's current routine and concerns, then builds a customized morning and nighttime routine with product recommendations for acne, skin texture, and barrier damage. Before the call, clients create a Square client profile, complete intake and consent forms, and send clear skin photos plus a list or photos of their current products. The $50 is credited toward any products bought afterward; if no products are bought, it applies to the service. A check-in after four to six weeks of consistent product use reviews progress, and an in-person facial can follow if the skin is ready.

The Pre-Teen Facial is a 50-minute visit for ages 9 to 12, priced at $85. It is meant for generally healthy skin rather than moderate or severe acne. It includes a skin analysis, cleansing, light exfoliation, extractions, massage, a customized mask, a moisturizer with broad-spectrum SPF, and skincare education with simple at-home recommendations.

The studio focuses on treating the cause of skin concerns rather than only the symptoms, and the treatment level is chosen on the day based on the skin's condition.
