Vanessa Pyle has worked as an esthetician since 2008. Her first job after school was at a laser center, where she provided microdermabrasion treatments. She later rented space from two salons and a wellness center before opening her own spa suite in 2015, which is now skinFIT.

The studio is open by appointment only, Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, and bookings are made online through Vagaro. Treatments are shaped to each client's skin needs and goals on the day of the visit. Clients are asked to arrive at least 5 minutes early, especially first-timers, and to stop retinol and other sensitizing products about 3 to 5 days before a facial or waxing. Home care products may be recommended afterward, with a sample provided.

Facials come in Express (30 minutes), 60-minute and Ultimate (75 minutes) versions. The Ultimate version adds the neck and chest and light therapy. Peels and microdermabrasion can be adapted to a client's goals, and a light chemical peel is offered as an alternative to microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion may not suit clients with broken capillaries, rosacea, severe acne or thin skin, so eligibility is checked at the appointment. Cancellations and rescheduling need 24 hours' notice; a $20 charge applies to late cancellations and a no-show fee of up to 50% of the appointment may apply.

Treatments are customized on the day, with prices the business aims to keep affordable and a focus on a home routine clients can keep up with.
