Skincare By Cora is a facial and skin care business in Oceanside, run by licensed esthetician Cora. The studio focuses on facials aimed at healthy, glowing skin, and it is located at 2111 South El Camino Real, #202.

Every facial is customized. After a skin analysis, the treatment is formulated for the client's skin type. A customized facial may include deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extractions when they are needed, a treatment mask, targeted serums and a relaxing massage. Treatments are adapted for sensitive or reactive skin, acne-prone skin, mature skin and all skin tones.

The menu also includes hydrodermabrasion, which exfoliates and hydrates the skin in one treatment; microdermabrasion, a stronger exfoliation for thicker or more textured skin; chemical peels; and acne-focused facials. Procell Microchanneling is offered for acne scars, fine lines, uneven tone, sun damage and texture. It uses a stamping method rather than dragging needles across the skin, and it is typically done in 3 to 6 sessions about a month apart. Clients are told to expect a numbing cream and typically mild discomfort, with redness commonly lasting 24 to 48 hours. Discounted packages are available for this treatment.

Recommended maintenance facials are every 4 to 6 weeks, and acne or corrective treatments are every 2 to 4 weeks. Products are sold so clients can keep up results at home, and the studio carries the Skinscript RX natural skincare line for use in facials. Clients may be referred elsewhere or asked to wait if they have an active infection, open wounds, severe or cystic acne, or certain medical skin conditions. Retinol and exfoliating products should be avoided for 3 to 5 days before a facial, and makeup should be avoided for 24 hours after a treatment. Cancellations or rescheduling need at least 24 hours notice.
