Skin Sense Body Balance is run by Lori Hall, who holds licenses as an esthetician and a massage therapist. Lori and Alison Kelly of Brows by Alison created Trilogy Studio, a private shared space where several practitioners work in one setting. Skin Sense works from inside the studio, which has its own entrance off Giddings Ave, and a parking lot sits on the corner of Giddings Ave and Annapolis Street. The location is a short drive from downtown Annapolis and the Naval Academy.

Facials are the core of the menu. The Traditional European Facial is a 60-minute session listed at $100 that covers cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, steam, massage and a treatment mask. The Skin Sense Signature Facial runs 75 minutes at $120 and adds acupressure, lymphatic massage, a corrective serum and an eye treatment. A 40-minute Mini Facial is listed at $70, and a Men's Facial at $110 includes deep cleansing, hot towels, exfoliation, extractions, face, neck and shoulder massage, and scalp massage. Clinical facials add peels and dermaplaning, and problem skin treatments address acne, hyperpigmentation, and hormonal and systemic concerns. Organic product options are available for facials.

Massage therapy centers on Swedish and deep tissue techniques, aimed at relief from pain and daily stress. Sessions are listed at $70 for 30 minutes, $120 for 60 minutes and $155 for 90 minutes. A combined facial and massage takes 120 minutes and costs $220. Back treatments combine dry brushing, exfoliation, essential oils and a body mask, and are listed at $75 alongside a facial and $175 as a standalone service.

Other services include waxing, with brow or lip waxes starting at $30, back waxing from $85, and other areas priced individually. Paraffin hand or foot treatments cost $30 for one area or $55 for both, and LED light therapy starts at $30 with red, blue and infrared options. Lash lifts are also offered, and gift certificates are available.

Treatments are tailored to each client's skin type and condition, with recommended products and treatments, and the practice refers clients onward to dermatology, Botox, fillers, cosmetic dentistry and wellness providers when needed.
