Skin Realm is a private studio on the upper floor of a standalone building in Highland Park, reached from either Figueroa Street or Avenue 56. The studio runs by appointment only, and the founder, Tara Zachman, leads the work with clients directly.

Every new client begins with the New Client Facial, a 120-minute visit that opens with a consultation about skin history, concerns, lifestyle and goals. That session includes a customized facial, professional skincare treatments and recommendations for home care products. It is also the first step in The Skin Realm Method, a customized treatment plan run over 6 to 9 months.

Returning clients can book the Signature Facial, a 90-minute appointment at $255 that includes one complimentary targeted treatment and extractions as needed. Additional targeted treatments can be added for an additional fee. The Skin Realm Signature is a 90-minute signature facial at the same price, and the New Client Service combines a Signature Facial with a full consultation.

Booking is handled with a 50% non-refundable deposit on each online booking. Cancellations and rebookings need 48 hours notice; a deposit can move to a rescheduled appointment only when the change falls within that window. Clients are asked to avoid exfoliation and retinoids for 5 days before a facial and to limit extended sun exposure while wearing SPF. Afterward, clients generally avoid exfoliation for 3 to 5 days, use SPF for 7 days, and skip steam rooms, saunas, sweating and makeup on fresh skin for 24 hours.

The studio also holds facial pop-ups in Minneapolis a few times a year, with dates announced by email first. Gift certificates are sold digitally only and can be sent right away or on a chosen future date.

The studio describes its skincare approach as collaborative, integrative and curated, with home care recommended alongside professional treatments.
