Skin Occasions opened in 2006 in Kingwood and offers skin care, waxing, eyelash extensions, makeup and permanent makeup. The spa describes itself as the most comprehensive and longest tenured spa in Northeast Harris County and as Kingwood's top rated spa.

Skin care has been built around Image Skincare, the spa's key skin care partner since it opened. In 2010 the spa partnered with PCA Skin to add medical grade peels, including I Peel, PCA, Sensi Peel, Ultra Peel One, Signature Facelift Peel, Pumpkin Treatment Peel and Oxy Trio Facial. Facials include the Tailormade Facial, which begins with a skin consultation, and the Detox Deep Pore Treatment. Microdermabrasion can be booked alone or combined with a chemical peel.

Permanent makeup was added for paying clients in late 2017 and launched as its own brand, Made Pretty Ink, in 2019. Made Pretty Ink is a sister company. Microblading is done in two phases, with the first touch-up about four to six weeks after the initial session, and the work is considered complete only after the second phase. The brow shape is designed together with the client, who approves it before work begins. A topical numbing agent is used, and the pigments are formulated to match each client's original brow color. The spa says results can last one to two years, depending on individual factors.

Bridal makeup can be applied at the spa on the day, booked as a test, or taken offsite to wedding venues. Offsite bookings carry a setup fee based on distance from the Kingwood spa, plus mileage. Bridal bookings require a non-refundable 50% deposit, with the balance due 14 days before the event.

Eyelash extensions are paid for once, and the spa says satisfaction is guaranteed or clients receive a full refund. Waxing sessions are not timed. Appointments are confirmed 24 hours in advance, and the business texts clients the day before a waxing visit to confirm it. Payment plans are offered through Cherry Technologies for services and for esthetics and permanent makeup training classes.

Skin care treatments are corrective in nature and suited to all ethnicities, skin colors and skin types.

Reviewers describe a relaxed, clean setting, with a lounge area that is not large.
