The spa was founded by Melody Marigny, who spent 20 years working with a plastic surgeon in the Bay Area before opening Skin Esthetics. She combined that plastic surgery office experience with her esthetics work to shape the practice.

Treatments are tailored to the individual. Facials can be adjusted with add-ons such as dermaplaning, LED, microcurrent, and a Presso lymphatic drainage massage. The practice also offers an Acne Clinic for acne, with pricing that varies by need. Moderate to severe inflamed acne is treated with a series of treatments alongside a home program that uses a skin care line designed for home use.

Other services address sun damage, sunspots, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and large or congested pores.
