Skin Edit is run from suite 304 of the My Salon Suites building on Valdez Street in Oakland. The studio describes its focus as clearing acne and managing the concerns of maturing skin, and its menu is built around those two areas.

Acne care starts with Acne Rescue, a 90-minute visit for $225 that opens with a consultation covering skin condition, goals, diet, lifestyle and current routine, then moves into a facial focused on extractions and calming active lesions. Clients who have already had a consultation can book an Acne Express visit: 45 minutes for $145 without LED therapy, or 60 minutes for $175 with it, centered on extractions, healing lesions, and post-inflammatory darkening and redness. Back acne has its own 45-minute treatment for $120, which includes a cleanse, extractions, high frequency and LED therapy. The studio notes that long-term acne control also depends on home products and lifestyle changes, not in-studio treatments alone.

Facials start with Essentials Treatments, tailored to each client's skin during the visit. The 60-minute version costs $155 and includes skin polishing, extractions where needed, steam with a mask when suitable, and a hydrating step. A 75-minute version at $185 adds 15 minutes of LED light therapy. The 45-minute Lunch Meeting facial, $145, combines exfoliation, extractions, high frequency, a mask and infrared LED. The Oxygenating Facial, $165, targets flushed or redness-prone skin, including rosacea, and uses magnesium peroxide in deionized water. According to the studio, it reduces the visible redness linked to rosacea. Complete Refresh is a 90-minute all-in-one session priced at $275, bringing together cleansing, exfoliation, micro-dermabrasion, extractions where needed, micro-current, a light peel, LED light therapy and a hydrating treatment.

For dullness or hyperpigmentation, Advanced Exfoliation is a 45-minute peel for $200 that comes with a take-home kit. The studio suggests a series of four to six sessions for the best results. Skin Consultation is a 45-minute skin analysis for $95 with skincare routine recommendations, held by phone or video chat, and it does not include a facial. LED Light Therapy is also available on its own as a 30-minute session for $50, described as stimulating collagen and reducing inflammation.

Most facials include a robe, while acne treatments and the Lunch Meeting are done without de-robing. Appointments can be booked online through a Vagaro page. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and no-shows or late cancellations are charged the full service price. Prices are stated up front and there is a no-tipping policy. The studio accepts American Express, Discover, Visa, MasterCard, debit cards and cash. Hours are Sunday and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM, Monday and Tuesday 11 AM to 7 PM, and Friday 10 AM to 5 PM, with Wednesday and Thursday closed. The site lists WiFi, LGBTQIA friendly service, an EV charger and metered parking, and English as the spoken language. Children are not part of the client base.

Acne care here combines in-studio treatments with home skincare products and lifestyle changes, since the studio says treatments alone are not enough for long-term control.
