Skin Bar NYC was founded in 2013, when its former owner began focusing on medspa services. Leisa became owner in December 2025 after working at the business as staff, and the business says it has performed thousands of Fraxel treatments at its Midtown clinic over more than a decade.
Visits can start with a complimentary consultation with one of the licensed skin care professionals, who helps choose treatments that fit each client's skin, concerns and goals. Treatments can be mixed and matched, and a fit-skin photo booth takes diagnostic photos to identify conditions contributing to aging skin. Enhancements such as Pure Oxygen Boost can be added to a treatment and paid for at the time of service.
The menu covers facials such as the HydraFacial, Skin Bar Custom Facial and Dermaplane Facial; peels from light options with no downtime to the Perfection Lift Peel, a medium peel with several days of peeling; and laser work including Fraxel Dual, Fraxel Refresh, Laser Genesis and intense pulsed light. Microneedling is done with the Procell MD device and the MD Aftercare system. The business says it developed Fraxel Refresh for clients who cannot take social downtime. It does not perform Fraxel Dual on clients with dark skin, citing a higher risk of post-treatment pigmentation, and clients are asked to avoid sun for at least two weeks before and after Fraxel Dual.
Memberships are offered monthly as Simply Skin, Clear Skin and Forever Young. Dues are charged to the card on the first of each month, there is no commitment, and a membership can be paused for up to two months once a year. Cancellation requires an emailed request sent before dues are charged, and unused services expire after 30 days.
Treatments are tailored to each client's skin, concerns and goals, and can be combined from a mix-and-match menu.
