Skander Academy

Skander Academy is a beauty school in Katy, Texas, founded by Summer Skander. It trains students toward state-licensed careers in esthetics, lash extension work, and nail technology.

Students start working with real clients in the school's teaching studio from the first week, under the supervision of licensed instructors. The instructors work in the beauty industry, so students learn current practice alongside the coursework.

The advanced esthetician program covers facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and more advanced treatment protocols, taught in a working spa studio. The lash program covers classic, volume, and hybrid application along with lash lifts and tints. The nail program covers manicures, pedicures, gel extensions, nail art, and sanitation practice.

Classes run in small cohorts and are offered on days, evenings, and weekends. Enrollment follows four steps: a tour and consultation, enrollment, training and certification, and launch. Inquiries are usually answered within one business day.

Beyond the coursework, the school provides help with state board exam preparation, resume and portfolio building, and placement support for salons and spas in Katy and the greater Houston area.
