The treatment deposits pigment into the upper layer of the scalp with a fine needle, covering bald or thinning areas so the head looks closely shaved with a defined hairline. A standard course runs over three sessions of one to four hours each, with one week between the first two and about a month before the third. Colour and density build up gradually, starting slightly lighter. Redness usually settles within about 24 hours, and clients are asked to avoid rubbing the head or heavy sweating for four days after each session.
The first step is a free consultation of 20 to 45 minutes. It covers hair concerns and how the treatment works, and includes a virtual hairline mockup made from photos the client sends in, plus a personalised quote. Pricing depends on the level of hair loss.
Each standard package comes with a single complimentary guarantee appointment, which can be booked up to a year after the initial session. That guarantee visit does not cover scar work or stand-alone top-ups. Monthly payment plans are offered, and some clinics provide them at 0% interest. Top-up visits are typically advised every three to six years, since the pigment softens slightly over time. Clinics are open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm, except New York, which stays open until 8pm. Appointments outside these hours can be arranged on request. The London clinic sits in Marylebone close to Oxford Circus station, and it offers no free parking. Manchester's clinic is in the city centre, near the main railway stations. Free parking is available nearby for the Edinburgh clinic.
Each hairline is drawn before a session and can be soft and natural or sharper and more defined, depending on what the client wants.
The clinics are described as comfortable, clean and discreet places to spend a few hours.
