SJBmassage

SJBmassage works as a mobile service, so the therapist comes to the client rather than the client visiting a studio. Home visits are offered in the business's listed service areas, which include Douglasville, Lithia Springs, Austell, Mableton, Hiram, Villa Rica, Winston and Powder Springs. The business does not visit hotels, and it does not cover Buckhead, Decatur, Smyrna or Roswell. Clients provide a space large enough for setup, and a fan may be needed. A $10 travel fee applies, and an extra fee applies if equipment has to be carried to another level unless someone present carries it.

Before a session, the therapist asks what the client is feeling and what they hope to get from the massage, then explains the treatment. The therapist brings the massage table, very soft sheets, lotion, music, aromatherapy, a heated neck pillow and hot towels. Clients are asked to shower before the massage. The business describes its mobile sessions as spa-quality relaxation in the client's own space.

The menu covers Therapeutic Massage in 60- or 90-minute sessions, with extra attention to the areas a client most needs. Couples Massage is for two clients who receive back-to-back massages from one therapist, each for 60 or 90 minutes. Pregnancy Massage is a one-hour session and is not recommended before 12 weeks of pregnancy. Post-Surgery Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a 45-minute session for clients recovering from procedures such as liposuction or a tummy tuck. The Swedish and deep tissue massage the business offers carry no extra charge for deep tissue work. A small group of three or four clients can also be massaged at one location, each receiving an hour massage at the same per-person price.

Pricing is listed as ranges that vary by location or by level of massage: Therapeutic Massage costs $100 to $150 for 60 minutes and $150 to $200 for 90 minutes, and Couples Massage costs $200 to $300 for 60 minutes per client and $300 to $400 for 90 minutes per client. Booking has no fee, and payment is usually made on the day of the appointment. Zelle, cash and credit card are accepted, with a 5% processing fee on credit card payments. Flex and Health Savings Account cards can be used and are processed as credit card payments. The therapist suggests a frequency of weekly, biweekly or monthly, decided after the first session. Clients are asked to cancel early when possible, and a confirmation call or text is sent the day before, which clients should answer.

Each visit starts with a conversation about what the client wants from the session, and the treatment is tailored from there.

Sessions take place in the client's own home or another room, with soft sheets, music and aromatherapy.
