SJ Skin Studio is a small facial studio on Mulberry Street in New York. Every visit is built around the concerns a client brings in, such as breakouts, texture, congestion, dehydration, fine lines and dullness, so each facial is adjusted to the skin in front of the esthetician. The studio describes its treatments as aimed at acne and aging skin.

The facial menu runs from Reset 45, a 45-minute face-only session with skin analysis, exfoliation, extractions, hydration and an LED or mask finish, to Signature 75, a 75-minute fully customized facial that can include exfoliation, extractions, hydration, targeted corrective work and LED, along with dermaplaning, microcurrent, light peels, microdermabrasion, hydrojelly masks and cold therapies when suited. Signature 75: All in is an all-inclusive version with no add-on fees, though its price varies. Lift + Tone is a 60-minute non-invasive facial that uses microcurrent to work the facial muscles and support circulation and collagen; it is not recommended for clients who are pregnant, have an electronic implant such as a pacemaker, or have epilepsy. Detox + Glow combines three exfoliation treatments, thorough extractions and an intensive hydration mask. Back Facial is a 45-minute back treatment with a deep cleanse, extractions, a back peel and antibacterial LED, priced at $270.

The Clear Skin Program is a 12-week plan that pairs in-studio treatments with a personalized at-home routine and regular check-ins. It starts with a 45-minute Clear Skin Program and Consultation, which assesses the skin, includes an acne treatment, and helps decide whether the program is a good fit. In-studio program treatments are $175 each and are recommended about every four weeks after the consultation. Between visits, clients send photos and a short skin update every two weeks by email. Clients are asked to follow the recommended routine and check with their provider before adding outside products. Clear Skin Treatment is a 45-minute targeted facial for program clients that includes deep extractions and a complimentary peel, using acne-safe, non-comedogenic products. In-Between Clean is a 20-minute extraction session for existing clients who want to book between regular facials.

The Deep Correction Peel is a 45-minute progressive peel that layers AHAs, BHAs, retinol and plant stem cell technology, priced at $310; mild flaking for three to five days afterward is typical. Liquid Microneedling is a 45-minute needle-free, Korean-inspired treatment using a non-invasive delivery system, priced at $375. Extractions are always optional, and makeup is removed as part of each treatment; heavy makeup is best avoided right after a facial. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice, and later changes are charged the full service fee. Clients should arrive about five minutes early, since late arrivals may receive a shortened treatment and are charged the full cost. Clients under 16 need a parent or guardian present. For weddings, the studio suggests booking a first appointment at least eight weeks ahead and scheduling a final pre-wedding facial about three to five days before the event. Each appointment is customized to the client's concerns, with the goal of correcting current skin issues, building consistency over visits, and moving clients into maintenance with a plan for between appointments.
