SIREN Waxing

SIREN Waxing has served Cabarrus County since 2023 and is owned by Karen Phillip. The studio's mission is to offer waxing in a clean, private and welcoming space where clients feel comfortable, cared for and confident. The name comes from the word siren, meaning a bold, self-assured woman.

The studio is upstairs in Suite 201 and can be reached by stairs or elevator, with the studio on the right. Visitors park on the side of the building marked 1036. Clients wait in the studio lobby rather than the chairs outside the studio door. Walk-ins are not accepted, and the studio does not take phone calls: bookings are made online, and clients text for last-minute changes and questions.

Services include underarm waxing, full leg waxing, bikini line and full bikini waxes, and Brazilian waxes. A Brazilian is done from front to back with a butt strip, and the front can be left as a strip, a triangle or a square, or fully cleared. First-time or lapsed clients and clients on a 4-6 week schedule are priced separately. The studio says a Brazilian typically lasts three to six weeks and recommends waxing every three to four weeks for best results. Male clients can book every service except Brazilian waxes.

Packages suit regular clients. Brazilian and underarm packages of five, seven or nine purchased visits include one, two or three free visits, at $400, $560 and $720 respectively, for 4-6 week maintenance only. Bundles of six or twelve Brazilians or Bikini Fulls also come at a per-wax discount.

Booking requires a 60% deposit, which is non-refundable and non-transferable and is forfeited if an appointment is canceled. Appointments cannot be rescheduled; clients cancel by text at least 24 hours ahead and rebook online. Canceling, missing or arriving 9 or more minutes late within 24 hours counts as a no-show, and the remaining balance is charged to the card on file. Clients under 16 need parental consent for bikini waxing. Before a Brazilian, clients should avoid shaving or other hair removal for at least two weeks, leaving hair about a quarter inch long. Piercings should be removed if possible, and clients on their period need to wear a tampon during a Brazilian. Pregnant clients may book bikini or Brazilian waxes, and should check with their doctor for waxes in the last two months of pregnancy.

Waxing is the single focus of the studio, delivered by one provider in a private, appointment-only setting meant to keep clients comfortable.
