Sinisters Ink

Sinisters Ink is a tattoo shop in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tattoo work begins with a full consultation with one of the artists, where placement and size are talked through and the design is drawn on tracing paper. Clients can then see a temporary sketch transferred to their skin, so they can preview how the finished tattoo will sit before any ink goes in.

Several of the artists work freehand, meaning the design goes on without stencils or pre-made sketches. Medical concerns are raised and addressed during the consultation, before tattooing starts. The shop says its designs are made to hold their look over time rather than fade.

Alongside tattoos, the shop runs a graphic illustration service. Options include portrait illustration, book portraits, graphic novel illustration and logo design. Tattoo and illustration appointments are booked by appointment only. Debit and credit cards are accepted, and service inquiries are sent through a message form that reaches the owner.

Every tattoo starts with a consultation so that placement, size and design are settled and previewed before the work begins.
