Simply Glamorous Salon and Spa

Simply Glamorous is a locally owned salon and spa in Rochester, NY, founded in 2015 by owner Nicole Gonzalez. It is on the lower level of Suite 5 at 1880 East Ridge Road, inside the Ridge Plex East Professional Office Park.

The salon describes its mission as delivering high-quality service through expertise, experience and education, within a team-based setting. Stylists keep up their education so they can bring current trends and techniques to clients. The team is organized in tiers: Master Stylists have more than ten years of experience and an additional master certification in one or more areas; Senior Stylists have more than five years; Junior Stylists have fewer than five; and Assistants help stylists with clients. All stylists are New York State certified professionals, and assistants are NYS certified as well.

Services cover haircuts, color, highlighting, balayage, texture work, styling, makeup, facial waxing and nail services. Retail shelves carry professional hair care from Goldwell, KMS, Amika and Bodyography, with product lines for every hair type. For weddings and events, the salon recommends a trial appointment to get a price quote, which clients book by choosing a stylist or makeup artist through the Book Now option. Hair and makeup can be done at the salon or on location, with an on-location travel fee that starts at $50 per stylist.

Hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 7pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm, and by appointment on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. The salon has a large lounge area that can hold a big party, and it allows food, drink and a photographer. Gift certificates are processed within 48 hours, with a $1.00 fee for a mailed physical certificate. Retail purchases paid with a gift certificate must be made under Nicole as the stylist, so a certificate bought for another stylist cannot be used toward retail. The salon states that it guarantees clients will be happy working with it, and describes itself as a proud supporter of children with hair loss.
