Silver Vine Room opened in March 2015, founded by four partners, on Springfield Avenue in downtown Summit. The salon describes itself as a top and premier hair salon in town, and it presents its style as approachable luxury in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

The color menu covers custom color, highlights, gray blending and full blonding. Haircuts are offered for every length and texture, from pixies to long layers. Treatments address deep hydration, frizz control and bond repair after color, and use products from Oribe and L'Oreal.

Extensions can be customized to add length, volume or density, with the color matched to the client's own hair. Styling and blowouts range from sleek finishes to beach waves and suit events such as parties, prom and homecoming.

A visit begins with a free online consultation that pairs a client with a stylist and a service. Listed prices are starting points and can shift with hair density, length, product use or extra services discussed at the consultation. Every color service includes a professional blowout done with a trained junior stylist, and clients can ask for a senior stylist for the blowout as a separate booking.

Appointments run Monday through Thursday 10AM to 8PM, Friday 10AM to 6PM and Saturday 9AM to 5PM. A credit card is required at booking and is kept on file, used only under the cancellation policy. A $7 salon service fee is added to every transaction. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and cash are accepted, but personal checks are not, and tips can be paid by cash, Venmo or Zelle rather than on a card. Refunds are not offered, though reasonable adjustments may be made if clients get in touch within two weeks of their appointment. Children may come along only when they are also booked for a service. There is no private lot, but street parking is nearby and a paid lot on Deforest Avenue is close by.
