SILKFACE

Silkface has served Portland since 2010 and is also listed as Silkface Skin and Body. Joni Kerr owns the business and works as its esthetician. Treatments are booked by appointment only, and the studio is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and closed Sunday and Monday.

The core menu of common therapies covers chemical peels, exfoliation, extractions, facials and microdermabrasion. Each facial is customized to the client's skin type and condition, and product ingredients are researched before they are used. Brow shaping and tinting are offered as well.

Waxing is a large part of the studio's services, with an extensive wax menu that uses several different waxes for different hair and skin types. Most wax treatments use a Spanish wax, and hard wax and a soy-based wax-free option are also available. Treatments are finished with botanical oils and organic aloe vera. Clients can also buy products online, pick them up at the studio or have them shipped free, and purchase gift certificates or memberships.
