Shira Beauty is a holistic spa on Route 9 North in Old Bridge. Appointments are by reservation only, and each service is private, one client at a time. Guests wait outside the studio until the client's appointment is finished, and children are not allowed in the studio. The studio is open Wednesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday from 10 AM to 4:30 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM, and is closed Monday and Tuesday.

About

The facial menu runs from a customized Wellness Signature Facial (from $155, 60 minutes or more) through glycolic and refining peels, a facial aimed at acne, a sculpting facial with a sculpting massage, and a facial with a hydrojelly mask and dermaplaning. The Fire & Ice Facial is new at $249 for 75 minutes; it uses exfoliating peels followed by a cooling finish, and the salon recommends four treatments for the best results. Microchanneling for the face, with a stem cell growth factor, is $399 for 90 minutes, and the salon says it has little to no downtime. The Goddess Glow Experience is a full-body and full-face treatment at $555 for 120 minutes. Hair treatments are offered for the front hairline, crown or full head, and there are hot stone massages, waxing and strip or individual lash services.

Makeup services include professional makeup from $55 for 60 minutes, with house calls priced according to distance. Bridal makeup starts at $333 for 90 minutes, a bridal makeup trial starts at $222 for 90 minutes, and a makeup lesson is $333 for 60 minutes. Energy services include Angelic Reiki, an Angelic Reiki Circle portal session, and guided meditation in 10, 20 or 30 minute lengths that can be added to any service. The Higher Vibrations Facial pairs a facial with Angelic Reiki.

The VIP membership is $144 a month, billed every 30 days, and includes one Wellness Signature Facial with Deshira Mjeshtri each billing cycle, 10% off additional services and products, priority booking and early access to events. Membership benefits do not roll over. Gift cards come in $150, $200, $500, $1,000 or custom amounts and are final sale. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.

Booking policies ask clients to set aside retinols, sun tanning and tanning beds for at least a week before an appointment, to skip facial waxing for three days before a skin treatment, and to avoid alcohol for 24 hours before a skin treatment, especially microchanneling. Facials are not booked during a sunburn, and clients should wait two weeks after Botox or four weeks after filler before a facial. Cancellations or reschedules within 72 hours incur a 50% fee, no-shows are charged 50% of the service fee, and late arrivals may be rescheduled with a 50% late fee. Those fees go to the card on file unless another payment method is arranged in advance.

The salon also offers training for estheticians, including a dermaplaning course at $444 for 60 minutes with tools included and a mentorship program at $100 for 60 minutes. A beginner gentle yoga class at Waterstreet Wellness is offered for $20.
