It is aimed at reducing frizz, adding shine and cutting down on blow-drying time, at $385 for an hour and a half or more. It does not permanently straighten hair and does not leave a visible line of demarcation the way permanent chemical straighteners can. The studio recommends repeating it every four to twelve weeks, depending on the client.
