Shanti Threading Salon Broadway

Shanti Threading Salon has been shaping eyebrows since 2012 and now operates in multiple locations, including the University District, Broadway, Ballard, Lynnwood, a Lenora Street site listed as e-Brow Lounge, and Kirkland, where it is inside Salon Republic. The Broadway location moved there from Salon Republic.

Threading is the core of the business. It removes unwanted hair with thin cotton thread and is offered to both men and women. Alongside brows and facial hair, the salon offers facial skin care and body waxing. Microblading is available for clients who want to partly or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair using fine incisions and cosmetic pigment.

Visits start with an analysis of facial structure, which the salon uses to suggest an eyebrow shape. The salon also offers makeup for special events and temporary henna tattoos made from pigment ground from dried herbal leaves. According to the salon, its henna tattoos are allergy-free, painless and skin cooling. The salon also says CBS Seattle recognized it in 2012 as the best venue for eyebrow and facial hair threading in Seattle.

Most locations are open 11am to 7pm on weekdays and 11am to 6pm on weekends, and walk-ins are welcome everywhere except Lynnwood, which is by appointment only. Clients are asked to arrive at least ten minutes early. Changes made with 24 hours notice can be made without charge; same-day cancellations are charged 50% of the service price, and arriving more than 15 minutes late counts as a no-show with full payment due. Clients who arrive 5 to 10 minutes late may be fitted in, but this is not guaranteed, and treatments may be shortened with full charges applied.

The salon also runs Shanti Threading Salon Academy, which offers training and workshops for estheticians. Class pre-enrollment is requested through an enquiry form on the website. The salon is also hiring aestheticians and threading artists, and applicants submit a form and CV online.

Brow shaping starts with an assessment of each client's facial structure, and the shape is suggested from that first analysis.
