New clients start with a consultation of about 15 minutes to talk through the look they want, their lifestyle, hair goals, hair history, timing, budget and hair health. Color is custom blended for each client and documented so results stay consistent from visit to visit. At the end of each service, clients receive suggestions on products, styling and when to return. Color clients should arrive with clean, dry hair. Formal styling clients should arrive with clean, dry hair that has not been styled with a flat iron or curling iron. If a client is comfortable with it, a photo of their look may be taken for inspiration for other clients.

Recommended return times vary by service. Short cuts are typically refreshed every 2 to 4 weeks, shape maintenance every 4 to 6 weeks, and growing out or removing split ends every 6 to 12 weeks. Color retouching is usually needed every 3 to 6 weeks depending on growth, and highlights are refreshed every 4 to 12 weeks depending on placement and amount. Lightening and toning services need a retouch every 3 to 4 weeks and a toner refresh every 2 to 4 weeks.

Policies: cancel at least 24 hours in advance, and report emergency cancellations to the salon as soon as possible. Clients who miss an appointment without calling must pay a 50% non-refundable deposit to rebook, which goes toward the next visit. There is a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals, and some services may be rescheduled to keep the next appointment on time. Service adjustments are handled if contacted within 7 days, unless someone other than the stylist modified the hair. Services are not refunded, unused retail products may be refunded or exchanged, and gift cards are available in any amount and are not refundable. Cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted, and returned checks carry a $35 fee. Children not receiving services must stay in the waiting room, and clients should arrange childcare for services longer than about an hour.
