Shan's Massage & Esthetics

The studio is Studio 208 at 2001 N. Federal Hwy., on the second floor of Pompano City Center inside Sola Suites, above Bath and Bodywork's. The business aims to provide personalized massage and esthetics sessions that support the body, settle the mind and lift the spirit.

On the massage side, the menu includes a full-body therapeutic massage built on long strokes, kneading and circular movements, a Swedish option sold by the hour or as a 1.5-hour session, and a deep tissue massage that works into deeper muscle and connective tissue. Hot stone massage uses heated basalt stones on specific areas, cupping uses suction cups on targeted areas, and CBD massage uses CBD lotion or oil with non-THC products. Prenatal massage is designed for expecting clients and focuses on common pregnancy discomforts. A post-op session, also called manual lymphatic drainage, is intended to reduce swelling and support healing after surgery, and it is sold as a package of six.

The esthetics menu covers a customized facial with deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extractions, a mask and a face, neck and shoulder massage, plus an acne facial aimed at acne-prone skin. Acne treatments, dermaplaning and micro or hydro dermabrasion are also offered. Chemical peels are tailored to concerns such as fine lines, uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation, though they are not available to new clients.

Body treatments include wood therapy, which uses wooden tools and is described as aiming to reduce cellulite and reshape areas, and body contouring for reshaping and tightening. Both are sold in packages of six. Lash services come in classic, hybrid and volume styles, with lash fill-ins available when at least 40% of the lashes are still present. Gift certificates are available, and the business asks for 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule and for clients to arrive at least 10 minutes early.
