Sessy Nails

Sessy Nails is a nail salon at 1160 E. Imperial Hwy. in Placentia. It was founded by Ly and Tom, who met in the summer of 2014, and the name blends the words sexy and sassy.

Ly had worked in the nail industry for more than twenty-five years before opening the salon. In 2014 she was building a new salon and invited Tom to join her, and he left his IT job to take it on.

The founders aim for every client to leave with a good experience, and they describe their goal as making the salon the cleanest and friendliest nail salon in Orange County. The salon's position is that quality nails cost money and budget work rarely looks stylish.

The salon is open Monday to Friday 9AM to 7PM and Saturday 9AM to 6PM, and it is closed on Sundays. Walk-ins are welcome, though the salon encourages calling ahead at (714) 985-9851 to avoid a wait.

The salon is also hiring. A nail technician position is open, applicants need a California nail technician license, and no prior experience is required because the salon offers training. Applicants can choose specialties in SNS dip powder, gel, pedicure designs and acrylics.

The founders aim for a clean, friendly salon where every client has a good experience, and they hold that quality nails are worth paying for.
