Serenity Spa combines esthetics, massage, nail and hair services under one roof on Jamestown Road in Williamsburg. The business describes itself as clean, friendly and calm, a place set up for relaxation. Clients can book single services, combined manicure and pedicure sets, or multi-service spa packages.

About

The facial menu runs from a 30-minute refreshing facial through a 75-minute signature facial, with options that include a teen facial, a back facial, a brightening facial and an LED facial using radio frequency. Add-ons such as a lactic peel, an eye treatment, a microcurrent collagen eye treatment and a collagen sheet masque can be combined with a facial. Facials use Priori skincare products. Peels are available as a gel salicylic and mandelic peel, an advanced peel and a medical grade TCA peel, the last offered through an affiliation with a plastic surgeon in Richmond.

Massage menu covers Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, Indian head, prenatal and foot reflexology sessions, along with raindrop therapy. The Pure Bliss and Ultimate Bliss packages each blend heated stones and deep tissue work with reflexology for the feet and a whole-body sugar exfoliation; Ultimate Bliss also includes a facial. Couples can book Swedish, deep tissue or hot stone massage side by side. Bookings of one hour or more require a credit card to hold the slot. Listed appointment times allow for preparation and changeover between clients.

Nail services cover express, classic, spa, gel and anti-aging manicures and pedicures, along with gentlemen's options and combined sets. Shellac and OPI Gel polishes are described as hypo-allergenic and free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. Prepaid packages of six pedicures are also available.

Hair services include cuts, blow drys, roller sets, updos, color, foil highlights, relaxers, color correction, a keratin smoothing treatment and extensions. Men's cuts are offered in the Just For Men menu. Hair removal is done with NuFree, a soy-based product the business says is not a wax, and covers the face, body and bikini areas.

Bridal and party bookings have their own menu with packages for brides, bridesmaids and mothers, and custom spa packages can be arranged by contacting the salon. Gift certificates can be bought in any amount by email, phone or in person, but they cannot be redeemed for cash and are non-refundable. Hours run Monday through Saturday from 9 to 5 and Sunday from 10 to 4, with Sunday services by appointment only, booked Monday through Saturday.
