SEN HEAD SPA

Sen Head Spa is a Kansas City salon dedicated to head spa treatments. Each service is meant to cleanse, stimulate and nourish the scalp and hair follicles, using specialized products along with deep tissue massage. The business says the treatments may support hair, relaxation and well-being, including circulation and clearing product buildup.

All four services sit on one Head Spa Menu and run from 60 to 120 minutes depending on the package. Scalp On The Go, at $70, is the entry option and includes a scalp analysis, a steam eye mask, an exfoliating scalp massage, a two-wash shampoo, a hydrating scalp mask, a scalp steamer, and hand massage. Scalp Relief, at $90, adds pressure point work on the face and head, lymphatic and shoulder massage, face and arm massage, a leave-in conditioner, and 8 minutes of LED red light therapy.

Dual Bliss, at $120, builds on the scalp service with a facial exfoliant or papaya scrub, a hyaluronic acid face sheet mask, facial toner, sunscreen and moisturizer, plus the same LED session. The top package, Ultimate Scalp & Face, at $150, adds dermabrasion, a facial exfoliant or papaya scrub given twice, a hyaluronic acid face mask, a face lift treatment, LED light, and finishing toner, sunscreen and moisturizer.

Head spa services are open to men as well as women. Clients should arrive with hair brushed and detangled, wear comfortable clothing and keep jewelry minimal, and they lie flat on their backs during the service. Hair types 3a to 4c are accepted. Extensions, braids and dreadlocks are not currently accepted, very matted hair may not be accommodated at the appointment, and clients with lice, or still in lice treatment, are turned away, with a wait of 2 to 3 months after resolution requested. The salon is not responsible for lost or damaged items. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM; the salon is closed on Wednesdays.
